Restrictions in City Areas; Police Stop Hurriyat (g) Leaders from Reaching HMT

Police lobbed tear gas shells when people tried to march towards the house of slain HMT youth near Khushipora.

Witnesses said that Hurriyat (g) leaders including Nisar Hussain Rather, Muhammad Yaseen Attaie, Imytiyaz Hyder were on way to the HMT when they were intercepted by police near Khushipora.

“Police fired tear gas shells on the people and Nisar Hussain Rather was injured,” one of the Hurriyat leaders said.

Hurriyat (g) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani had appealed people to reach HMT to condole with the family of Gowhar Nazir Dar who was killed in forces action last Saturday evening.
