Authorities have decided to impose restrictions in Srinagar parts on Sunday fearing law and order problems in view of a shutdown called by Joint Resistance Leadership.
An official said that restrictions under Section 34 CrPc will be imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, MR Gunj and Safa Kadal tomorrow.
In view of the strike call given by separatists on February 24, 2019, there are credible inputs that the miscreants may resort to various activities which will be prejudicial to the public tranquillity, peace and order,” reads an order issued by district magistrate Srinagar.
Earlier the joint resistance leadership has called for a shutdown tomorrow against mass arrests, censorship and any tampering with 35A.
