Srinagar
Authorities have decided to impose restrictions in parts of Srinagar on Friday.
The restrictions have been imposed due to the protest call given by Joint Resistance Leadership after Friday prayers.
According to officials, restrictions would be in places in Khnayar, Nowhatta, Rainawari, MR Gunj, Safa Kadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud police stations.
They said the step has been taken as a “precautionary measure.”
Meanwhile, authorities have placed Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on house arrest a day ahead of the protest call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).
“Put back under/ house arrest was released yesterday evening only,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
