SRINAGAR: A retired Army personnel died while his wife and daughter sustained critical injuries after a vehicle they were traveling in was hit by a truck at Dandesar village on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch national highway.
The accident took place on Thursday late afternoon after an Alto car bearing registration number JK11B-4049 on way to Jammu from Rajouri and a truck JK02AL-2569 collided at Dandesar.
Three members of a family travelling in the car sustained injuries in the accident,and were taken to sub district hospital Nowshera where one of the injured was declared as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sageer (45), son of Mohammad Idress resident of Chowkian, a retired army personnel.
His wife Tabassum (30) and daughter Gousia (12) were referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri in critical condition.
Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, Dr Rajinder Langar said that Gousia is having critical injuries and is presently on ventilator support while deceased’s wife Tabassum is out of danger. (KNO)
