SRINAGAR: Former Chief Engineer Abdul Hamid Shah is no more. He had retired as Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control in 1997.
Family sources said Shah was unwell for almost a month. He died at his Kursoo Rajbagh residence.
Shah is survived by his two sons and daughter. His son, Dr Iqbal Hamid Shah teaches at the King Khalid Medical College in Saudi Arabi and could not join his father’s funeral. His other son, Reyaz Hamid Shah is a businessman. His daughter Rabia Hamid teaches at the Bio-Chemistry Department in the University of Kashmir.
Family sources said Shah’s Fateh is scheduled at their ancestral graveyard in Baba Dawood Khaki shrine in Batamaloo on November 8, 10:30 am.
