SRINAGAR: A retired policeman who had gone to collect his dues from the treasury has gone missing, family sources said. Identified as Amarjeet Singh son of Pritam Singh, he is a resident of Khasipora village in Tral.
“He retired less than a year back from the police,” one of his neighbours, also serving the police said. “The family said he had gone to collect some money from the treasury but did not return.”
Singh had left his home on July 4, Wednesday. The last detail about him is an ATM transaction from Awantipora when he has withdrawn Rs 1000.
The family has registered a case of missing with the police station Tral. “He was wearing white kurta and pyjama when he left home that day,” the family has said. They have insisted that the missing member is physically and mentally fit.
