Srinagar
In different road accidents across the Valley, 1 person died and 5 other got injured. An unidentified vehicle hit a pedestrian Mohammad Sharief Katoch, age 55 years, son of Abdullah resident of Boreka Batli Ramban at Chinar Pollution Center, Srinagar, resulting in his on spot death. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a bus bearing registration number JK03/2530 skidded off the road at Lamad Crossing, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to five persons. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
Meanwhile, 23 years old girl (name with held) resident of Salasan, Baramulla, consumed some poisonous substance at her home. The girl has been shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another incident, the body of Mohammad Lateef Dar, age 45 years, son of Mohammad Sidique resident of Nawakadal Srinagar was recovered from Rampora, Chattabal, near River Jehlum Srinagar. Srinagar police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
