SRINAGAR: At least five persons were injured in a road accident in the Rajouri district of Jammu division on Tuesday.
An official said the accident occurred on Tuesday morning when a passenger bus veered off the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway and fell at Katarmal near Ghambir Brahmana in Rajouri district.
The injured were shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, where they are undergoing treatment.
The injured have been identified as Sunika Kumar, a resident of Ghambir Brahmana; Mohammad Younis, son of Mohammad Ismail, a resident of Katarmal; Shazia Kosser, daughter of Mohammad Bashir, also from Katarmal; Irfan Ahmad; and Mohammad Irfan.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and started an investigation. (JKNS)
