Students of the Shri Pratab higher secondary school Srinagar held protest demonstrations against the persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, on Saturday.

Hundreds of Rohingyas have been killed and hundreds of thousands displaced in organised violence against the ethnic minority in Myanmar.
The students took out a protest rally from their college to the press colony Srinagar to raise their protest against such persecution. They were demanding an end to the violence against Rohingya Muslims. The students were carrying placards against the Myanmar government.
Authorities have closed the Women College for the day. This was apparently done because of the apprehensions that the students might march out on the streets and create law and order problems.
