SRINAGAR: The Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is offering fully funded scholarships for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programmes.

The scholarships will be provided in the fields of Architecture, Visual Arts, Romanian Culture and Civilization, Journalism, Political and Administrative Sciences, Engineering, Education Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Technical Studies, Oil and Gas, Agricultural Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine. Scholarships are not awarded in the fields of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy.

The application deadline is March 15, 2024.

To be eligible, candidates must be from non-EU countries, should not be over 35 years old to apply for the master’s programme and be under 45 for the PhD programme, have a good academic record, and must hold a degree from a previously attended programme.

The required documents include an updated CV, two passport-size recent photos, a copy of the first three pages of the passport, birth certificate, an official letter issued by the diplomatic mission of the country of origin, an application form for the issuance of a letter of acceptance to study in Romania, copies of diploma/degree or equivalent (bachelor, master), and an attested medical certificate providing the fact that the applicant does not suffer from any contagious disease or other medical condition.

For selected candidates, the scholarship will cover tuition fees, accommodation, monthly financial aid, medical assistance, and will provide a free language preparatory course.
