SRINAGAR: RR Swain, the Special DG of Jammu and Kashmir Police, has been empanelled as the new Director General (DG).
The decision was made on Wednesday by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Additionally, the Committee has given the green light to the selection of 14 other officers for various important roles within the government.
Currently, Swain holds the position of Special DG CID J&K.
