SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has accorded administrative approval for restoration of the traditional Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Thursday.
In a post on X, Abdullah said the project would focus on preserving the heritage of the traditional route while improving infrastructure along the pilgrimage path.
He said the work was intended to provide devotees with a smoother and more convenient pilgrimage experience.
“The Government has accorded administrative approval for the restoration of the traditional Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore,” Abdullah said.
He added that the project would preserve the route’s heritage and improve infrastructure along it.
