Baramulla
Acting upon the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, a joint team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Baramulla and Department of FCS&CA Baramulla, headed by the Assistant Controller Baramulla conducted an intensive round of market checking in Baramulla.
During the checking around 150 commercial establishments dealing in essential commodities were inspected, and fine of Rs. 17000 was recovered from erring traders for violation of various laws. It was impressed upon the traders to ensure proper hygiene in sale of essential commodities such as meat, fruits, vegetables and other items.
