Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon Wednesday said that Rs 211 crore have been released to the flood-hit families, having fully-damaged houses, while as Rs 1.12 crore were released to the traders affected due to floods across Kashmir valley.
Dr Samoon said the monetary assistance was released to the flood-hit families and affected traders under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), an official spokesperson said this evening.
Pertinently, the development came after the State Administrative Council (SAC) under the chairmanship of Governor, N N Vohra approved financial assistance under PMDP- 2015 for providing relief to the people whose houses were damaged due to the devastating floods of September, 2014.
