SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police along with a team of Punjab police Saturday recovered Rs 29.5 lakhs from the house of a drug peddler at Sarya Bhawani village in Nowshehra.

Quoting a police spokesman news agency KNO reported that Rajouri police along with a team of Punjab police conducted a raid at various locations in village Sarya in the jurisdiction of police station Nowshera.

He said that they recovered Rs 29.5 lakhs from the house of one drug peddler namely Sikandar residence of village Saryah Bhawani.

It is pertinent to mention that it was in follow up to the case FIR number 164/2021 registered under various sections of NDPS Act.

The cash was seized and investigation is underway, police said.
