SRINAGAR
An amount of Rs 296.44 crore has been allocated as budget to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation since last three years.
The Information was given by Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora while replying to a question by Mohammad Ashraf Mir.
The Minister further informed the House that an amount of Rs 47.88 crore has been incurred as sanitation expenditure; Rs 244.79 crore has been spent on civil works during 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 similarly Rs 18.55 crore has been spent on purchase and procurement of various items.
The Minister further said that 6 Sewerage Treatment Plants have been commissioned by LAWDA and more would be made available to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
