Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb Drabu on Monday informed the House that the government has disbursed Rs 3249 cr among 154244 Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMYY) beneficiaries in last 2 years.

“Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMYY) was launched on April 3, 2015, for credit dispensation to micro enterprises in manufacturing trading and service sector. In J&K an amount of Rs 1663.42 crore was disbursed by scheduled commercial banks to 89708 beneficiaries during 2016-17 and Rs 1586.16 crore among 64536 beneficiaries during 2017-18,” he added.

Replying to a question by Mr Ali Mohammad Sagar, the Minister further informed the House that for Jammu and Kashmir an aggregate target of Rs 1748.22 crore for 78907 beneficiaries was fixed for the financial year 2016-17 and Rs 2465.20 crore involving 118312 beneficiaries for the year 2017-18.
