District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the District level ‘Task Force Committee (DLTFC) to discuss various financial assistance cases for setting up business units.
Several cases were taken up during the meeting and Rs 4.70 crore were approved in 139 cases by the committee whose applications were received online by KVIB and DIC Kulgam and KVIC.
The meeting was attended by all committee members and representatives of financial institutions operating in the district.
An interactive session with the applicants was also held during which they shared their future endeavours with regard to self-employment plans.
On the occasion, the DDC said that the main objective of employment generation schemes is to make the un-employed youth self-reliant by extending assistance to them under various schemes for establishing their business units.
