Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh while replying to a question by Sofi Yousuf in the Legislative Council Tuesday said that Deendayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) for 21 districts of J&K State has been approved by the Monitoring Committee of Union Ministry of Power on August 06, 2015 for an amount of Rs 530.08 crore.

“The amount has been granted for feeder separation, metering, system strengthening and providing electrification access to rural households and the scheme is to be implemented as per guidelines of DDUGJY within the stipulated time frame,” he said.
