Rs 9.82 Cr Spent on Mini Secretariat Construction in Batamaloo: Sakeena Itoo

   

SRINAGAR: A total of Rs 9.82 crore has been spent so far on the construction of the Mini Secretariat at Batamaloo, Minister for Education Sakeena Itoo informed the Legislative Assembly while replying on behalf of the Chief Minister.

Responding to a question by Member Tariq Hameed Karra, the minister said that the decision to undertake the project was made during a District Development Board meeting on October 4, 2017, chaired by the then Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

The project, titled “Construction of Mini Secretariat at Batamaloo,” began in 2018 with an initial estimated cost of Rs. 48.23 crore. The minister noted that Rs one crore was initially allocated for the project, out of which Rs. 82 lakh was spent.

She further informed that in the current financial year, an additional Rs nine crore has been spent, bringing the total expenditure to Rs 9.82 crore. She also confirmed that the pile foundation work has been completed.

Additionally, the executing agency has submitted a revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) amounting to Rs. 80.26 crore, which is currently under departmental review.
