According to Kyiv’s military authorities, as per AP, the overnight barrage targeted critical infrastructure and residential areas, with air defences intercepting a significant number of incoming threats. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipro, causing power outages and damage to civilian property.

Ukraine’s Air Force confirmed that Iranian-made Shahed drones and cruise missiles were used in the strikes, while Russia claimed the attacks were aimed at “military facilities.” At least several casualties were reported, though exact figures are yet to be released.

The assault comes amid escalating hostilities on the frontline, as both sides intensify operations ahead of the approaching winter. International leaders condemned the strikes, warning of further instability in the region.
