SRINAGAR: A corroded mortar shell was discovered and safely disposed of through a controlled explosion in Rajouri district on Monday, officials said.
The mortar shell was spotted by a local resident in the Nowshera area of Rajouri, who promptly alerted the police.
The area was cordoned off, and a bomb disposal team was called in to safely eliminate the mortar shell using controlled methods, ensuring no harm was caused. (KS)
