SRINAGAR: A rusted mortar shell has been found on Sunday in the Upper Gohlad area of Mendhar, Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir during road construction activities.
An official said that the shell, believed to be an old, unexploded ordinance (UXO), was found by construction workers at the site.
“Upon noticing the suspicious object, the workers immediately alerted the local police,” the official said.
The police rushed to the spot for further investigation. (News Vibes of India)
