Authorities in Kashmir banned mobile internet and broadband services fearing disturbance of law and order following the eruption of wide spread protests in the aftermath of killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militants Sabzar Ahmad Bhat and Faizan Muzzafar Bhat in encounter at Saimu village in Tral on Saturday.

The move came hours after month long social media ban was lifted in Kashmir.

On May 11, United Nations Human Rights Commision issued a statement asking India to withdraw the ban on internet and social media.

However, officials did not confirm that how long ban will be continue.
