SRINAGAR: The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met under the chairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik accorded sanction to the transfer of Shamilat (Kahcharai) land measuring 51 Kanal and 08 Marlas at Maidan Chogal Tehsil Handwara, District Kupwara to the Health and Medical Education Department for establishing a Government Medical College.

SAC accorded sanction to the transfer of State land measuring 1123 Kanal and 11 Marlas situated in Villages Chatergam and Lalpora, Tehsil Tal, District Pulwama to the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department for establishing a Poultry Estate, the spokesman said.

SAC also approved transfer of Shamilat (Kahcharai) land measuring 6 Kanals situated in village Sirnoor, District Pulwama, to the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction for establishing the District Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at Pulwama.

SAC accorded sanction for placing of indent with Jammu Development Authority (JDA) for transfer of state land measuring 156 Kanal and 6 Marlas situated in village Jagati, Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu in possession of JDA to the Army in exchange of 147 Kanal and 11 Marlas of land adjacent to Jammu University Campus at Bahu Wali Rakh, Jammu for expansion of the University Campus.

In another decision, SAC approved transfer of 250 Kanals of land at village Rakh-i-Gund Aksha in Bemina for establishment of High Court Complex.

SAC further authorized the Housing & Urban Development Department to demarcate the land and incorporate the High Court Complex in the Master Plan after due process and to transfer the land at the departmental level.
