Srinagar: Four more bodies have been recovered under snow on Saturday taking the death toll to nine after the vehicle came under snow avalanches at Khoni Nallah near Sadhna Top in Tangdar sector in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Friday evening.
A top police official told Kashmir Life that four more bodies have been recovered from the avalanche site near Sadhana Top.
“With the recovery of more bodies on Saturday afternoon, the death toll mounted to nine including the beacon official Havaldar MP Singh,” He said, adding that three persons have been hospitalised.
He said reports of one more person is said to be missing in the area and efforts are on to trace him out.
