SRINAGAR: Peoples Conference chairman Sajad Lone on Tuesday dismissed reports claiming that he had boycotted the Independence Day parade in Kupwara, terming the reports “pure gibberish.”
Lone said that no such incident had taken place and clarified that he was not even present in Kupwara on the day of the Independence Day celebrations.
“There is news circulating about boycott of Independence Day parade at Kupwara. I can make it clear from my side that nothing of that sort happened. I was not in Kupwara on that particular day. That is it,” Lone said.
He added that the reports linking him to the alleged boycott were baseless.
“Rest all this boycott news story about me is pure gibberish,” he said.
