SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference president Sajjad Lone on Saturday accused the government of failing to honour its commitment to create one lakh jobs for the youth, alleging that it has instead imposed curbs on the creation of new posts.
In a post on X, Lone said the administration had made large-scale employment assurances in its election manifesto but had now “banned the creation of new posts,” describing the move as a setback for unemployed youth.
He further claimed that government posts remaining vacant for more than two years were also being surrendered, stating that the decision would adversely impact job seekers across Jammu and Kashmir.
Lone criticised the government, alleging that it had not delivered on its promises and had misled the public over its employment commitments.
