A sand extractor was drowned in river Jehlum in Awantipora while extracting sand from the river.
According to police spokesman, 25 year old, Ashiq Hussain Ganie son of Mohammad Amin Ganie resident of Kharmod Awantipora was drowned in river Jhelum while extracting sand at Awantipora. The body of deceased was retrieved and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
