SRINAGAR: Two labourers died after being buried under a massive sand slide in the Gadhanchipora area of Bijbehera in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday, officials said.
An official said that a group of people was caught in the sand slide during the extraction of sand in Gadhanjipora.
He said a rescue operation was immediately launched, and those buried under the sand were retrieved and shifted to a nearby hospital.
“Two of the labourers died in the hospital. Further details will be shared accordingly,” he said—(KNO)
