Amid being gheroed by goons of RSS and Sangh Parivar, AIP chief and MLA Langate Er Rashid Tuesday asked BJP leaders to explain that how did “untouchable PDP became so sacred for them that even Narendra Modi forgot to have ever talked “Baap Beti ki Sarkar” and asked BJP to shun its communal agenda without creating further divisions between communities”.

While addressing a public gathering in Kishtwar today, Rashid said, “talking about resolution of Kashmir dispute neither amounts to being communal nor anti-national as India and Pakistan have very often made commitments at International forums for resolution of dispute.”

“We don’t seek a resolution on communal lines of an internationally recognized political dispute and let so called main stream parties including NC, PDP, Congress and BJP not forget that it is these parties who have cultivated the seeds of communalism from time to time only to strengthen their vote bank in Jammu region,” he said.

He added, “despite giving their full support to democratic processes from time to time, the people of Chenab Valley and Pir Panchal lack even very basic amenities of life. People have right to know that if govt. could offer huge packages for infrastructure in Ladakh and Jammu regions, why couldn’t it start work on Kishtwar-Vailoo tunnel. The Dulhasti Power Project has yielded nothing for people of Kishtwar and the miserable condition of roads seeks hundreds of answers from those politicians who claim to be warriors of Chenab Valley but have only used the masses as vote bank and tools of exploitation. The situation in far flung areas like Dachen, Padder, Wadvan and Madwa speaks of the ill fatted stories of people of the region”.

He supported the demand of establishing one of the prestigious institutions from IIT, IIM and AIIMS at a centrally located place in Chenab Valley.

Rashid asked government to control the goons attacking Muslim drivers at Nandni and Nagrota and alleged that police and civil administration have been watching the situation like “mute spectators”.
