All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday told Pakistan High Commission, Abdul Basit, in New Delhi that “without resolution of Kashmir dispute there will be no peace in the sub-continent”.

“Kashmir is the main dispute between India and Pakistan. Unless Kashmir dispute is resolved there will be no peace in the sub-continent and relations between India and Pakistan will not improve between the two nations,” Hurriyat Conference (g) spokesperson quoted Geelani as having told to Abdul Basit.

Geelani and other senior Hurriyat Conference leaders today met Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to celebrate Pakistan National Day. Geelani congratulated Pakistan nation and its prime minister Nawaz Sharief on the Day through Basit.

“We are not against dialogue between India and Pakistan. Unless the Kashmir dispute is resolved as per their aspirations and a result-oriented dialogue with India is held, there will be no peace and all the dialogues will be useless,” Geelani said, adding, that Pakistan must support the people of Kashmir at all levels.

Earlier, Geelani when asked by reporters about the government formation in the state between PDP and BJP, he said: “We are not interested who governs the state. For us NC, PDP and other parties are same. And the actual rulers in the state is army and Home Ministry of India,” he said.
