SRINAGAR: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended three companies providing Umrah services, local media reported. The suspension follows violations, including the failure to provide proper accommodation for pilgrims.

The ministry stated that legal action is being taken against external agents linked to the offending companies, in coordination with relevant authorities. The companies have been instructed to immediately arrange accommodation for all affected pilgrims. Corrective measures are being implemented under the approved regulatory framework to safeguard pilgrims’ rights and prevent similar issues in the future.
The ministry emphasized that negligence or breach of contractual obligations will not be tolerated and reaffirmed that the welfare of Umrah pilgrims is a top priority. All service providers were urged to comply fully with regulations and uphold their contractual responsibilities.
