Speaking at a press conference at his residence in Jakarta, the ambassador said the Kingdom remains stable and secure. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhamdulillah, remains safe,” he stated, as reported by Antara.

He added that preparations for the upcoming Hajj season are progressing smoothly and in accordance with the Saudi government’s established plan. “Everything will proceed smoothly,” he said.

Earlier on March 13, Ambassador Faisal had also confirmed that preparations for Hajj 2026 were moving forward efficiently without any major obstacles. He reiterated then, “Insha Allah, the preparations are going smoothly according to plan, and there will be no impact whatsoever.”

He further assured that flight schedules for pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia would operate as planned.

Millions of pilgrims from across the world are expected to perform Hajj this year, which is scheduled to take place in late May.

His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following escalating military developments in the Middle East, including exchanges of strikes involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. The situation had earlier raised concerns over potential disruptions to key global shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, a vital corridor for oil and liquefied natural gas exports.
