SRINAGAR: ADB-JSP (Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Programme), financed by the Government of Japan and organised by the Asian Development Bank, aims to provide an opportunity for students to pursue fully funded postgraduate studies at the University of Tokyo.
The application deadline for the ABD Japan Scholarship Programme is December 10, 2023.
The Japan Government Scholarship Programme aims to promote studies in economics, science, and environment-related fields.
There are several departments eligible for this scholarship, including the departments of natural environmental studies, ocean technology, policy and environment, environment systems, human and engineered environmental studies, socio-cultural environmental studies, international studies, and the graduate programme in Sustainability Science, Global Leadership Initiative.
For eligibility, the candidate must have been admitted to the University of Tokyo, Japan, for a master’s programme, have a bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record, have two years of professional experience, be proficient in English, and maintain an exceptional academic record to continue the scholarship for the second year.
Further, the candidate must not be more than 35 years of age and should be in good health to move for studies.The selected candidate will receive a full tuition fee, a monthly subsistence and housing allowance, medical insurance, and travel expenses.
