SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has announced the schedule for winter vacations in government and recognised private schools across the Kashmir Division and winter zones of the Jammu Division.
The vacations will be observed from December 10, 2024, to February 28, 2025, for primary classes up to 5th standard. For classes 6th to 12th, the vacations will be from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
The order also directs teaching staff at government high and higher secondary schools to report to their respective headquarters from February 10, 2025, onwards to prepare for upcoming board examinations for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th.
Teachers are expected to remain available during the vacation period to provide online guidance to students as required. Strict action under the rules will be taken against any defaulting heads of institutions or teaching staff.
