School Education Department Names 22 Principals as In-Charge CEOs

   

SRINAGAR: The School Education Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a significant administrative reshuffle, formalised in Government Order No: 227-JK (Edu) of 2026, dated June 12, 2026.

Under the authority of the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Ram Niwas Sharma, the order mandates the immediate placement of 22 Principals and officers of equivalent rank into the roles of In-charge (I/c) Chief Education Officers (CEO) and equivalent positions, all of whom are to serve in their own pay and grade.

The officials involved in these placements are Nazeer Ahmad Khan, Sarvadhaman Kumar, Pushpa Bhat, Veena Kumari, Irvinder Kour, Raj Kumari, Javid Iqbal Gulshan, Renuka Nagpal, Kalpana Jasrotia, Rozi Qureshi, Neetu Gandotra, Rafiq Ahmad Mir, Shadi Lal Gupta, Nikhat Mir, Anjum Raja, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Bashir Ahmad Ganai (RBA), Sapna Suri, Gh Nabi Najar, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Wahida Shiekh, and Ab Rashid Malla.

Concurrent with these placements, the government has directed a comprehensive programme of transfers and adjustments. Notable changes include Oneel Kumar Bhat moving from CEO Ganderbal to CEO Ramban, Sanjeev Kumar Suri from Associate Processor JK SCERT to Principal DIET Rajouri, Abdul Rashid Mir from attachment in DSE Kashmir to Principal DIET Kupwara, Deepak Kumar Gupta from CEO Reasi to Principal DIET Reasi, Rifat Irfan Qadri from Principal DIET Srinagar to CEO Budgam, and Geetu Bangotra from Coordinator Samagra Shiksha to CEO Reasi. Nazeer Ahmad Khan, previously I/c Principal GGHSS Pampore, is now CEO Ganderbal.

Other shifts include Sarvadhaman Kumar to Principal DIET Ramban, Pushpa Bhat to SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, Veena Kumari to SCERT J&K, Irvinder Kour to Principal DIET Kud Udhampur, Raj Kumari to SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, Javid Iqbal Gulshan as CEO Poonch (with additional charge of Principal DIET Poonch), Renuka Nagpal to SCERT JK Jammu, Kalpana Jasrotia to Samagra Shiksha, Rozi Qureshi to Principal DIET Pampore Pulwama, Neetu Gandotra to Principal DIET Shopian, Rafiq Ahmad Mir as CEO Bandipora (with additional charge of Principal DIET Bandipora), Shadi Lal Gupta to Principal DIET Kulgam, Nikhat Mir to Principal DIET Sopore Baramulla, Anjum Raja as CEO Pulwama, Farooq Ahmad Dar as CEO Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Ganai as CEO Budgam, Sapna Suri to Principal DIET Budgam, Gh Nabi Najar as CEO Baramulla, Fayaz Ahmad Mir as CEO Kulgam, Wahida Shiekh to Principal DIET Anantnag, and Ab. Rashid Malla to Principal DIET Ganderbal.

These appointments are subject to strict conditions: they do not confer any preferential claim for future regularisation or confirmation, which remains at the discretion of the DPC or JKPSC. Appointments are contingent upon the outcomes of any writ petitions currently pending before competent courts of law.

Each officer is required to submit an undertaking to their respective Director, certifying that their academic and service credentials are authentic; should any document be discovered as fake, forged, or issued by an unrecognised institution, the placement will be cancelled ab-initio.

Similarly, the order stipulates that if any adverse report is received from the ACB, GAD, or other monitoring agencies, the placement will be cancelled immediately.

All officers are mandated to join their new postings within 10 days of the order’s issuance; failure to comply within this period will result in the automatic cancellation of the placement without further notice.
