The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation led by its chairman Mohammad Yasin Khan Wednesday said the deadlock over rehabilitation of dislocated traders of Municipal building Jehangir Chowk was resolved with the allotment of shops to the shopkeepers at the nearby recently constructed PDD building.

“All the 29 shopkeepers were allotted shops at the new complex while possession of these outlets was done under the supervision of ADC Srinagar and the concerned Tehsildar,” the KTMF said in a statement.

The deadlock ended following intervention of the KTMF team including Din Mohammad Mattu, Farooq Khan, Farhan Kitab and Manzoor Ahmed who looked to a resolution to the lingering problem.

The KTMF said its president Mohammad Yasin had been making all possible efforts to see the traders get rehabilitated at an earlier.

Meanwhile Khan appealed the government to fulfill all the commitments as made to the dislocated traders with regard to their rehabilitation at the new site.
