SRINAGAR: Rescue teams continued search operations for a second consecutive day on Monday to trace a 14-year-old boy who drowned in the Pohru River at Wadoora in Sopore area of Baramulla district.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), personnel from SDRF Component Baramulla and Sub-Component Sopore are carrying out the search to retrieve the body of Furqan Rafiq Hajam, son of Mohd Rafiq Hajam, a resident of Wadoora, Sopore.
The boy went missing after drowning in the Pohru River while bathing on Sunday, August 2.
SDRF teams have been conducting extensive search operations in the river since the incident, with the operation entering its second day on Monday.
Officials said efforts to locate the body were continuing at the time of filing this report.
