The child has been identified as Mohammad Hunzala, son of Nigar Ahmad Turrey, a resident of Tiken in Pulwama district.

Officials said the boy accidentally slipped into a fast-flowing nallah near Dubjan Bridge, triggering a rescue operation. Despite sustained efforts over the past four days, the body has not been retrieved.

Teams of SDRF, along with personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), are continuing the search operation under challenging conditions to locate the missing child. Local residents and volunteers are also actively assisting in the ongoing efforts.

Authorities have urged people to remain vigilant around water bodies and to ensure close supervision of children to prevent such incidents.
