SRINAGAR: A massive joint search operation was launched by the Army and police in the Veerpur area of Samba district following reports of suspicious movement late Thursday night.
An official said local residents informed the police after noticing unidentified individuals in the area. Security forces responded promptly and cordoned off the location, the official added.
Searches were ongoing till the last reports came in, and additional reinforcements had been deployed to assist in the operation. (JKNS)
