As re-poll is going to be held on Thursday on 38 polling of Srinagar parliamentary seat, Section-144 will remain imposed in Budgam district, except the area of re-poll.
According to District Magistrate Budgam restrictions under Section-144 shall remain in force in the district on Thursday, except for those areas where re-poll is to be held.
The re-poll was ordered after on April 9 unprecedented boycott and violence was witnessed. At least eighth civilians were killed in protests near polling booths and more than hundred were injured.
At number of places, EVMs were also damaged by the protesters and vehicles were torched.
