SRINAGAR: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, today chaired the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar to review the current security scenario in the Union Territory and the security arrangements for the annual Amarnath Yatra.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the armed forces, security agencies, and JK Police for ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the successful neutralisation of terrorists in recent days.
He directed all security agencies to conduct precise, intelligence-led operations aimed at neutralising terrorists and dismantling support networks. He discussed key strategies and broader counter-terrorism approaches to help security and intelligence agencies achieve the objective of a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
The Lieutenant Governor also reviewed the security preparedness for the Amarnathji Yatra, scheduled from 3 July to 9 August 2025. He instructed senior officials of the Armed Forces, CAPFs, intelligence agencies, and J&K Police to take all necessary measures to ensure the safe and peaceful conduct of the sacred pilgrimage.
