SRINAGAR: Security forces recovered ‘explosives’ near the International Border in Kathua, prompting swift action by police and the Border Security Force (BSF), media reports said.

The incident occurred in the Panjgrain area, the same location where a Pakistani drone dropped an improvised explosive device (IED) a few weeks ago.

JK Police officers, including two DySPs, are assessing the situation, confirming the presence of explosives.

Earlier, on February 22, 2024, BSF troops engaged a drone in the Manihari village area of Hiranagar, recovering an IED dropped by a Pakistani drone.
