Security was beefed up in hitherto peaceful Leh town of frontier region of Ladakh on Tuesday following intelligence reports that militants may strike the local airport.
The Leh airport , 340 kms from Srinagar, is being used both by the army and civilians and witnesses heavy rush of passengers during the day.
Leaving nothing to chance, the security has been tightened in and around the airport, official reports reaching here said.
