SRINAGAR: In an enigmatic development, the son of new Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, has gone missing since Friday afternoon, according to reports.

City Police Chief, Imtiyaz Ismail, confirmed to Kashmir Life that they have received a complaint from the Sehrai family.  “We have taken the complaint and we are looking into it,” the officer said.

Sources close to Sehrai family said, Junaid Ashraf Khan, left for Friday prayers near his house in Baghat locality and has not returned since. The family waited for his return but when he did not reach home, they approached the police.

Sehrai took over the leadership of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, last week from Syed Ali Geelani. The two have been close associates for more than last six decades.
