SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday appointed senior JKAS officer Asgar Hussain as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 1058-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Asgar Hussain, who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the department, has been posted as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister in the interest of administration.
The order, dated June 9, 2026, was issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS.
The appointment takes effect immediately, the order stated.
