Senior pro-freedom figure Gh Mohammad Khan (73) breathed his last on Wednesday. He was father of Hurriyat Conference (g) Jammu province head, Nayeem Ahmad Khan.
Close family sources revealed to Kashmir Life that Khan was not keeping well and was admitted in JVC Hospital where he breathed his last this afternoon.
Gh Mohammad Khan was a close associate of slain Kashmiri leader, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat. In 1973, he was jailed for the first time which continued, intermittently, after 1990s.
The family sources said that the body of late Khan is being driven to his ancestral home at Pathan Pora, Khore in North Kashmir’s Pattan area.
His Nimaz-i-Jinazah will be held after Asar prayers later this evening around 5:30 PM.
