SRINAGAR: The Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications, aimed at providing essential support to disadvantaged individuals embarking on a 4-year Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) at government-aided institutions.

This initiative extends a helping hand to 57 promising students commencing their first year in the BDS programme. The application window is set to remain open until the 31st of September 2023, offering these aspiring scholars a chance to secure their academic futures.

To be eligible for this esteemed scholarship, applicants must be first-year BDS students enrolled in government or government-funded colleges. A prerequisite for consideration is a commendable academic record, with candidates required to have achieved a minimum of 60 percent in their higher secondary education.

The scholarship further stipulates that family income must not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources. This criterion ensures that the opportunity is directed towards those truly in need of financial assistance to pursue their educational dreams.

In order to complete the application process, candidates must submit a comprehensive set of documents. These include previous academic mark sheets, an Aadhar card, proof of admission to the BDS programme, evidence of family income, bank account details, and a recent photograph of the applicant.

Shortlisted candidates can look forward to receiving a substantial financial grant of INR 1,05,000 per year, which will greatly alleviate the financial burden associated with pursuing a BDS degree.
