The pro-freedom camp across valley while terming Article 370 as ‘non-issue’, accused that the Article is deliberately being politicized under a planed conspiracy.

The BJP prime ministerial candidate  Narendra Modi in Jammu recently stated that the debate must be initiated over Article 370.

Several Mainstream organizations across the state reacted to the Modi’ s statement including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, terming Modi’s demand ‘bizarre ’ and irrelevant.

The separatist parties of the state Tuesday stated that the Article 370 stands irrelevant and that they least bother about its existence.

Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik while talking to KNS stated that the Article 370 has been made as the election slogan by the political parties of the state and that the debate is being initiated about the same under a well planned conspiracy. “Those who are contesting elections are using the Article as the election slogan and that the vitality of the Kashmir resolution is being undermined due to the move.”

Malik further stated that several political parties are claiming to be in fovour of the Article while as others advocate its abrogation. “Those assembly members who are raising hue and cry for this Article are themselves responsible for its 95 percent dilution.” He further stated that the debate is generated only to undermine the vitality of the resolution of Kashmir.

Talking to Kashmir News Service, Huriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the Article 370 is ‘non-isue’ for Kashmir and that the prime focus of the people of the state is to exercise the right to self determination. “We do not have any concern with Article 370, its existence or non-existence is irrelevant for us.”

Shabir Ahmad Shah, chairman Jammu and Kashmir Democratic freedom party (DFP)  stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir strive for freedom and that Article 370 is not among the priorities here. “We out rightly reject the Article 370, we have nothing to do with it.”
